My journey to Pilates
I once suffered constant neck and shoulder pains due to my Scoliosis, and sitting long hours in front of computer working as a secretary in a corporate setting. Massage therapy and alternative holistic treatments were great, but they only brought temporary relief from pain. As a result, I turned to Pilates as a form of rehabilitation, and slowly but surely, I started to feel more relaxed and pain gradually got better.
Having experienced the benefits of Pilates, it lead me to quit my corporate lifestyle and begin training as a Pilates instructor.
As a late bloomer, it definitely was a challenge in many ways, but I DID IT and it was all worth it.
My goal is to spread the joy and benefits that Pilates has given me, and to assure people that it is never too late to start!
In my free time, I enjoy spending time at home cooking plant based meals, and to wind down with a glass of wine!

My path to Pilates hasn’t been an easy one. I was an executive secretary until marrying and having two children. Shortly after the birth of my children, my mother passed away, prompting me to pursue better physical and mental health through yoga. I became a yoga instructor, only to find that there was a “performance” aspect to instructing, which added to my stress. I felt dull physical pain internally even while resting, which ultimately led me to become interested in learning more about the body in detail and how to maintain a healthy, balanced body as we age.
As I started to learn and eventually guide my students on conditioning the body through Pilates, I started feeling fulfilled in what I was doing and wanted to be able to support my students further. I started learning machine Pilates and immediately was enthralled by how the machine helped improve range of motion, spinal flexibility, and one’s own awareness of the body’s positioning and movement.
I have come to realize that in order to have a healthy mind and body, it’s essential to not only focus on creating a beautiful figure, but also to improve the body’s functionality by understanding fundamentally how the joints and muscles work together.
With the help of the reformer machine, which can be adjusted to each individual’s needs, we can work on maximizing muscle movement and spinal flexibility. I also like to incorporate exercises that can also be done outside of the studio, with the ultimate goal of getting to the bottom of and solving my clients’ biggest pain points.
Having experienced how Pilates helped me through a difficult time in my life, I would be thrilled if I can now support my clients on their journey to a happy, healthy and beautiful future.

Noriko
Hello! Nice to meet you!
I was born a healthy baby weighing 4,200 kg and grew up enjoying activities like dance throughout my childhood and adolescence, even while commuting long distances to school. As a working adult, I thrived on little sleep and stayed active, and as a homemaker, I dedicated myself to supporting my children.
However, everything changed when I developed endocrine disorders and rheumatoid arthritis. My life became challenging with severe pain and swelling that made movement difficult. For someone like me, who always prided herself on being energetic, the inability to move freely was the hardest part.
Following my doctor’s advice, I began rehabilitation gradually while continuing treatment. With patience and care, I focused on exercises like Pilates that minimized stress on my joints. As a result, I earned an international Pilates certification. Today, I continue my rehabilitation journey while dedicating myself to teaching and honing my skills.
I strive to be a guiding light for my students, offering lessons that are enjoyable for all ages. My specialties are posture improvement and body sculpting.

Mei
Hello! My name is Mei. Since I was a child, I’ve loved moving my body. Before becoming a Pilates instructor, I worked as a professional cheer dancer and performed at various sports events, including professional baseball, the NBA, and the World Volleyball Championships. However, after suffering a serious injury, a torn ACL, I realized I needed to take better care of my body, and that’s when I discovered Pilates. At that time, despite being active, I struggled with back pain and neck pain. I used to push myself with youth and power, but I soon realized that if I didn’t move properly and take care of myself, my body would break down. Pilates allowed me to train safely and efficiently, and with the knowledge of anatomy I gained, my dance performances became more stable. My back and neck pain disappeared, my inner muscles naturally developed, and my body shape changed. I was able to wear clothes I love freely, and I became happier with myself than before. (I even grew a little taller♪) What truly drew me to Pilates wasn’t just the improvement in my performance and appearance, but the mental stability it brought. I had previously experienced hormonal imbalances and struggled with emotional ups and downs. I tried herbal medicine and other exercises, but now that I’ve started Pilates, I feel the best my body and mind have ever been. (Even my skin♪) I believe it’s because the six key elements of Pilates—Breathing, Concentration, Centering, Control, Precision, and Flow—have provided me with the right mindset. My late father, who suffered deeply from the pressures of Japanese society, struggled with mental health. Seeing him up close, I hope that men, too, will incorporate Pilates into their lives as a form of mental care. I approach my lessons with a supportive style, aiming to help my clients feel vibrant in both body and mind. Let’s do our best together!

Naomi
Hi! I am Naomi. Movement and music have been a big part of my life with almost 14years of dance training from young.
Everything took a back seat when I conceived twins but got back to fitness after giving birth. I started off with yoga and mat Pilates classes post-natal
and was first introduced to Reformer Pilates back in 2017 and since then I was hooked!
It became part of my fitness routine along with strength training, indoor cycling, boxing, yoga, and barre. Pilates has brought and continues to
bring a lot of benefits in my physical and mental wellbeing as it makes me aware of how to move with intention.
I hope to be part of someone's journey in finding their healthiest self through Reformer Pilates. It is my goal to share my knowledge on how to efficiently
move through any life stage with mindfulness. I believe that investing in one's health through physical fitness and good nutrition will always yield rewards so I hope to help you achieve them....see you in class!"

Risako
I started practicing Pilates when I was pregnant with my second child in Japan. It focused on breathing method, so I was not sure what Pilates really was. We then moved to USA, where I practiced yoga and Crossfit intensively. I loved both methods but then COVID hit. Then we moved to Bangkok, where I started teaching pilates for private and group sessions.
I found people loved pilates so much because they felt pilates was so unique compared to other exercises.
With my background and knowledge in yoga and breathing practices, I incorporated some of challenging and effective exercises to daily Pilates repertoire. I love watching people growing stronger, healthier and happier after some sessions. I like to tailor each session to the person and their needs!

Nataliya
I’m Nataliya Karasawa. I was born in Germany in 1980 and have lived in many countries since then. At 6, I started dancing and I was learning about body constitution, fundamentals of human physiology, and the joy of studying myself through movement. Since then, I have been perceiving the world through my body. I became so passionate about dancing, so I began to teach others on a professional level at 15: learners’ ages from 3 to 60. I observed students’ ways of communicating with their bodies. I noticed that the majority of dancers treated their bodies very carelessly and unsafely. When the body is stretched to the fullest extent, sooner or later, some discomfort and even injuries are inevitable. I was not an exception.
To help me cure my backache and knee pain, I discovered the Pilates Method. At a Pilates studio for the first time and laying down on a mat, I felt like I belonged there. Since then, my life has changed significantly, with Pilates an inalienable part of it. Recalling my childhood, I remember how effective my grandmother’s exercises were. Of course, she was not a professional trainer or an athlete. However, she assured me that the exercises would contribute to my body's health, beauty, and longevity. She was absolutely right, as I found out later.
I started to learn Pilates in Tokyo, Japan in Japanese. My first course was with BASI (Body Arts and Science International) Pilates. While studying, I gave free lessons to my friends to better understand what I was learning. I first rented a studio room in Roppongi, and then changed to Komazawa-Daigaku, Tokyo. Then finally, I opened my own studio in Sangenjaya, after attending a Pilates Heritage Conference in Monchengladbach, Germany.
At the same time, I took an anatomy course called "Biology For Everybody" in Tokyo taught by Tatiana Romanova, Ph.D.
Later, I attended conferences for the Pilates Method Alliance in Palm Springs, California( 2017), and Las Vegas, Nevada( 2018). The following year, I practiced my first autopsy at The University of Hawaii (Manoa): Aisen Shiatsu School of Anatomy.
I also attended two psychology conferences (2011) and (2012) in the Ukraine to better understand human mentality, including my own.
I have studied Pilates in many studios around the world, including London, Barcelona, New York, and Hawaii.
I have been studying the Eric Franklin Methodology for the past year.
While learning Pilates as an instructor, I was astonished that some exercises were identical to those taught by my grandmother. That convinced me more about the effectiveness of Pilates and motivated me to study its methodology. The Pilates Methodology has become more global, and that is why my teaching focus has become more diversified as well.
At the present time, I am teaching in four languages: English, Japanese, Russian, and Ukrainian. My journey in Pilates always continues with constantly updating my skills, knowledge, and abilities to become the best instructor for YOU.

Meg (Trainee / Receptionist)
Hello! My name is Meg.
My journey for Pilates has started when I was training and maintaining overall physical strength to stay on stage.
I have tried many different methods and workout techniques but never got the results I was looking for.
Many times, it made my body even stiffer and tired. Pilates has improved my posture and guided me to build a long and sculpted body without inflammation.
Also, Pilates is not about quick fixes or trends. It’s a tool to help you find what works best for you!!
In my spare time, I like to walk under the sun and explore nutritious foods and recipes. Sometimes I will listen to health and wellness related podcasts. I love singing and dancing with music.
I hope to be able to inspire anybody who wants to have a healthy body and a healthy lifestyle by being an instructor at Re-Juvenate!
